Quality Tailored Shirts from Home

I want to share with you an app I found that I was extremely skeptical of. It is called MTailor and wow was I wrong. My husband works in a professional environment and dress shirts are a must. While I can go shopping and try on clothes all day getting him to the store is quite a different story. I can get him to try on one or two items then he is ready to leave. Then the shirts we do get just never seem to fit like he wants them to. For someone so particular you think he would want to try on more, right? Anyways, I found MTailor and thought it was too good to be true. An app that allows me to order custom tailored shirts from my house, free shipping, and 100% money back? I was sure the fit would be off, or the quality would be terrible. Thankfully I was wrong. The shirts looks and fits amazing. When my husband tried his first shirt on a big smile came to his face and I knew this app was for real. Even to collar fit! That is the hardest part for us. If everything fits like he wants it the collar is always too small.

The fitting process is pretty interesting. The app walks you through it with a simple video. There is no measuring of any kind. You just have the person twirl around in their underwear. It is amusing to watch and he only has to do it once. After that the measurements are saved and video deleted. Unless he gains weight or buffs up everything should be good. You can always redo the measurement before any order, but you don't have to.

There are lots of shirt options. Different colors/patterns, four collar options, four wrist options, pocket or no pocket, tucked or untucked, and does he wear a watch? The prices are based on the fabric and are $64-$89. WHAT??? We can barley get a normal shirt for that. Much less one that is custom fitted.

Needless to say I was super excited about this app and will be buying more. I hope you find this app as great as I did and please use my referral code. I think it gives you a discount, but I am not sure. Either way it helps me and doesn't hurt you :)

Finally Ubered

Wow, it has been a long time since my last post. I have been so busy in my life that I put my blog to the side. Sad, I know. I have to get back to sharing my recipes and life. I promise I will soon!

I finally Ubered! I was always hesitant to try this out because of the stories of people being over charged and I really do not know what my problem was. Uber is GREAT! I have not tried all the features yet. Only uberX and uberXL are in my area.

The app is beautiful and easy to use. You can see how many drivers are around you and exactly where they are. No more, "I wonder if this cab is ever coming?" Once I confirmed we were ready for pickup it took about 5 minutes and our car was there. Usually you are stuck in limbo. Either you call and it takes an hour or you expect it to be an hour and they are right outside. Knowing where the car is makes planning easy.

Our driver was very nice woman from around my city. She knew all kinds of information and was fun to talk to. Sadly I do not get to go out with the husband as much as I want to. Kids, work, life... blah blah. It was nice to talk to someone that seemed to know all the fun places.

The car was a new Audi SUV. How many times do you call a cab and get an Audi SUV? I think I was so excited about the car she could have driven me anywhere. The inside was clean and comfortable... of course it was! It's an Audi.

Paying was easy, because you don't do anything. You just get out of the car and say thank you. There is no more calling in your credit card or awkward cash exchanges. I guess there is some confusing on tipping or but the answer is NO. Uber was designed to be a cash free service. Taxis seem to expect tips, but this felt different. Uber was like a friend giving you a ride. I loved it.

SOWEGA Chicken Soup

It is very hot here in Georgia so I decided to make soup, go figure! SOWEGA stands for South West Georgia. This is my super hearty and healthy soup. This was originally named South West Chicken Soup, but in keeping with my trend I threw in GA to keep it close to home. (This soup has one more name and if you happen to read this then you know what it is, BT Soup) It works out though considering all the flavors of this soup are grown in that region, except the black beans. I have no clue where they came from. The recipe itself is very easy and requires no technique. All you need is love ;) If you believe this recipe is a copy of something Rachel Ray does I promise it was not. This recipe was invented in a college household with what was around. While it has been tweaked through the years it is still my favorite soup to this day.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups of: onion, carrot, celery

3 ears of fresh sweet corn or 1 can

1 can of black beans, washed and drained

1 can of stewed tomatoes, chopped

1 3.5 pound rotisserie chicken

4 cups of chicken stock (Yes, it must be home made)

64oz bottle of V8 juice (Most of it)

Spices: (To be honest I do not know the measurements on these. It changes every time to how I feel so I am just going to write what is in it.)
Cumin

Thyme

Oregano

Basil

Paprika

Chili Powder

Red Pepper Flakes

2 Bay Leaves
2 Cloves of Garlic, minces

Hot Sauce (Louisiana IS THE ONLY KIND)

Black Pepper

Salt 

The recipe is very straight forward. Sweat your onions, carrots and celery until soft. Pull the meat from your chicken while this is happening. I usually use mostly this darker meat for this and save the prettier white meat for salads. SAVE YOUR BONES FOR STOCK! Do whatever you feel. Toss in the rest of you vegetables, stock, V8, chicken, and spices to taste. Bring to a boil the lower to a simmer for seriously an hour. 

This makes a lot of soup, but you can freeze it or eat on it for awhile. It is actually, like most soups, a lot better the next day. I hope you enjoy my favorite soup!
